If you use Dish Network or vitually any other Set top box SerialChannelIR is the answer for your EyeTV channel changing needs. SerialChannelIR is a low cost Universal IR Blaster solution for EyeTV designed to work with usb-uirt to translate your EyeTV channel change request into ir sequences which are sent to your device. This technology has been used extensively in other PVR applications. SerialChannelIR now brings this technology to the Mac and EyeTV.
SerialChannelIR's Preference pane allows easy configuration of devices for EyeTV to control. Insert your existing code or build a new file by learning the codes from the device's remote. Learning code from the remote could not be easier. Simply press learn, point your remote at the usb-uirt and press the desired button on the remote. The code then appears in the learn window. Already have the pronto code for your remote. Not a problem. Simply paste the code in the text box next to the button number. Most devices have remotes with pronto codes already on the internet which can be included in SerialChannelIR. Virtually any device can be controlled with SerialChannelIR. SerialChannelIR is the perfect alternative for devices that cannot be controlled by SerialChannel or SerialChannelSky products. |
