Desktop remote for Directv ethernet enabled boxes. Now in the App store.
directRemote is a desktop remote for your Directv box. It discretely resides in the menu bar, active only when you need it. directRemote displays with an iphone app like functionality. Configuration is done by simply flipping the to the back of the window.

Setup and Configuration.
For Directv box:
For the Directv box, enusre that the box is connected and cofigured for your home network and enable the service by navigating to the “External Device” settings screen (Menu->System Setup->Whole-Home->External Device) screen. Once on this screen select “Allow” for “External Access”.
For directRemote:
Click on the gear icon in the lower right hand coner of the directRemote main screen.
1. Enter a name for the directv connection.
2. Enter the IP address for the directv box.
3. Enter the port number for the directv box. The default port number is 8080 (followed by the enter key). This should remain true unless it is changed on the Directv box.
