eyeChange
eyeChange is now available in the Mac App store. If you own a Directv HD box with ethernet connection and use EyeTV, eyeChange is the software you need. eyeChange eliminates the need for serial or irblaster cables or laborous configuration. Changing channels on you directv box could not be easier. Simply provide eyechange with the ip address of your directv box and eyechange takes care of the rest.

Configuration.
For the Directv box, enusre that the box is connected and cofigured for your home network and enable the service by navigating to the “External Device” settings screen (Menu->System Setup->Whole-Home->External Device) screen. Once on this screen select “Allow” for “External Access”.
For eyeChange:
1. Enter the IP address for the directv box.
2. Enter the port number for the directv box. The default port number is 8080. This should remain true unless it is changed on the Directv box.
3. Click start at login check box if the app is to start automatically at login.
